![]() ![]() With Tactician, boomshot spam Ult is your friend and Discipline makes your Hammerburst hit hard before you have a GL. I’m tinkering with ditching the chainsaw Ult back for Last Ditch to further increase damage because I don’t need to chainsaw to get my Ult back once I have a Longshot anyway. You should be clearing 1.5 million damage often with that build on 12. I’m not above just buying a new Longshot every wave from 9-12 if necessary. I’ll Longshot murder scions and wardens, lancer kill the rest. I go lancer and Longshot heavy ammo regen and Ult cooldown, I am a good and accurate shot and the class has bonus headshot damage, so I just use the Longshot to perk my Ult fast, then I use both during my Ult (especially on Frenzy). Veteran for instance I play fairly unique, everyone is stuck on the Retro but they end up sucking when they don’t Ult. Blademaster can be forward deployed and do massive boss damage, so in skilled hands it’ll be tough for many other classes to compete.īut really no joke if you master all of the classes, you’ll walk into any public lobby and murder the team’s damage. ![]() Any skilled Marksman will destroy half the wave or more every time he Ults and leave little for everyone else. The toughest classes to outdamage if you’re not one of them are probably Jack (glitched, you can’t ever outdamage a decent Jack, I’ve had 15 million in a Frenzy lol), Demo, Marksman, and Blademaster. They all worked hard for their damage and I did nothing. I’ve had a wave 12 where I marked the Kestrel once, pushed Y 3 times, and didn’t fire a shot and had 4x the damage of the next player lol. You cannot be outdamaged if you’re a maxed Demo on any mode, basically. If you’re insistent on being top damage, Demo it is. Blademaster absolutely destroys if you’re skilled, but I have good success with my Protector too. If I’m playing with randoms I expect top damage unless I’m playing as Combat Medic, which I rarely do. ![]() Let’s set aside Architect, and I personally lack the patience for Mechanic (Robotics Expert is just so clearly the best building class in every way from fast lockers to damage dealing to never repairing anything). The correct answer is they’re almost all amazing. Otherwise you can’t do the 200,000 per wave in a 1-50 you should be doing from 35 on. While the Dropshot is totally awesome and I love it, the damage isn’t THAT amazing, it mainly is there to stun for the team and bring your Ult back. I’ve used as many as 4 Ults on a single wave before. It’s like 4 dropshots to bring the Ult back, if your cards are maxed. Too many Pilots fall into this idea that a locker full of dropshots just means the silverback is some sort of emergency “oh noes” Ult. I Dropshot only to get my Ult, then get in and destroy, rinse and repeat. You have an Ult that comes back faster than almost every other class because damage done and taken brings it back. On Frenzy he’s more of a beast I think but you have to learn how to play the class as a hybrid and people just don’t want to do that. But if you’re an accurate shot (that’s mostly what I played in Gears 4 for thousands of hours, and Dropshot Heavy), RE with that much extra damage is deadly. In fact I can generally outsnipe most every random Marksman even as Robotics Expert on 3x headshot days, it’s hilarious to see because they don’t understand why their scores are getting crapped on. ![]() I never get outdamaged by any Marksman as Nomad on 3x headshot days. Scions take a few, but why play a Marksman that still kills every single normal enemy in 1 shot when Nomad is the class that benefits the most by also now killing everything immediately. Dumbest comment I always see, “Oh!! Oh! Triple headshot heh time to pull out the Marksman!” Wait… huh?! Do you regularly struggle to kill things in one headshot as Marksman?! You shouldn’t. I agree with you on triple headshot damage. But I’ve run a full close range build on Master and solo held a side as well (Village). Ditch Faze for Rain Down or Concussive Headshots sometimes, like a 1-50 I’m not going to be chainsawing much after wave 8 on Master normally. I do typically run ranged, Intimidation, Consecutive Shot, Markza Mastery, Acceleration, and Faze (so partial hybrid build) for Frenzy. I also switch cards around based on team, map, and modifiers. Nomad is one of my top 3 favorites as well. ![]()
